No services are planned for Nancy Jane Winn, Ph.D., 90, Lawrence, who passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar, where she had resided for many years.
She was born November 27, 1929, in Chanute, the daughter of Earl Stanton Birt and Rachel Brewer Birt.
Dr. Winn taught for nine years at UMKC as an Educational Psychologist. She later worked at Peruvian Connection as a statistical sales analyst. She was very active at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by two children, David Winn in 2004, and Cynthia Winn in 2007. She leaves no immediate family, but a host of friends survive.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
If this obituary appeared in the LJWorld, I somehow missed seeing it–and just now found it .
For all Nancy’s many friends now missing her, I’d just like to share that I remember Nancy from many years back, mostly in association with her participation at Trinity Episcopal Church, as a most admirable, kind-hearted, intelligent, beautiful soul, thoughtful of others even though dealing with serious and physically debilitating health problems herself. I trust that now free from pain and limitation, she walks in light and peace, continuing to bring joys to those around her.
