Carol & Vance we are very sorry for the lost of your mother so soon after your Dad passing. We called Verla after hearing of Darrel passing and she sounded real good and coherent. It came as a big surprise to see her obituary in the paper yesterday. We will never forget the good times we had on 27th st. at the block parties, and the times we spent together and how you 2 treated our girls. Your folks were the best and will be long remembered. God Bless them both and you 2 always. Keep in touch.
Vance and family, I am so very sorry for your loss.
I met Verla when I started working for the KCC in 1985. She was a great help to me and a good steward of the Commission’s funds. I valued her as a friend and admired her outlook on life. Your family has my sympathy – it is hard to lose two parents in such a short time.
