She died January 2, 2021, at LMH Health.
Nancy was born March 24, 1948, in Faulkton, South Dakota, the daughter of Ed and Berta Schuh Kunz. She and her daughter moved to Lansing, Kansas in 1982, and Nancy married Donald Gray. Together they built a successful car wash business.
She was known for her love of animals, most notably Golden Retrievers, and loved donating to their causes.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Don Gray, Lansing, KS; daughter, Kristi Nelson, Chicago, IL; sister, Ines Thompson and brother-in-law Cliff Thompson, Tempe, AZ; nephew, Mark Thompson and niece, Kristi Thompson, Tempe, AZ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leavenworth County Humane Society, Ozarks Kat and K9 Shelter or Best Friends Animal Society, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260, Lawrence, KS 66044.

I know Nancy through my work as a dog trainer. I worked with her and the dogs and enjoyed my time with everyone. I was shocked to see her obituary in the paper. I’m so sorry.
Our deepest sympathy to the family. We very much enjoyed Nancy and Don coming out to our house and playing bocce with us. They always brought their dogs who were loved by everyone there. Rest in Peace.

I am sorry for your loss. I remember when Stuart and I had you for dinner on Esplanade maybe right before or after you two married. Long time ago. Kristi you were an eighth grade student in one of my classes at Lansing Middle School.
