Messages & Condolences

From Gayland R Gillaspie...

Sorry to hear about John, worked with him years ago as he was a employee of a contractor for the gas company in Lawrence. John was a very likeable young man then and I always thought he would go far in life because he had the right attitude, always upbeat and was dependable and liked . Rest easy John Barnes as GOD will take care of you now.

I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. I worked with him at Prairie Park and then when I worked South Middle School(BMMS) I would occasionally talk to him. He was a hard worker and I always enjoyed visiting with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

To Katie and the kids. I loved working with John on the Asphalt Crew. We had a lot of fun while we were crack sealing, patching potholes and other jobs. He was a hard worker and would help others if they needed a hand. He will be missed by many fellow workers who knew him. May he rest now having no more pain and standing in the light of GOD!

John was our night custodian where I work at Broken Arrow Elementary. He was always kind to me, and would stop what he was doing to help me whenever I asked. I enjoyed hearing his stories and even though I didn’t know him very well, I am saddened by his passing. Rest easy, John.
