It is with deep sadness that the Poulsen family announces the unexpected death of Keith G. Poulsen on August 25th 2022. Keith was born in Chicago Illinois, but has called Lawrence, Kansas home for the last 30 plus years. He is survived by his wife Christine, son Kevin (Erin), daughters Kara (Ernie) and Katrina; Grandchildren; Falchion, Jax and Ellie, his Mom, Jan and Dad, Herbert (predeceased), sisters Pam (Steve), Cindy (Pete), and brother Eric; along with his many nieces and nephews (Christopher, Courtney, Nick, Alexandra, Sean, Stephen, Brad, Kyndall and Grant) along with many other family and friends.
He was a hardworking, thoughtful, loving, and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend who would never let you down. Keith served in the US Navy and then worked in Electrical Industrial Maintenance for WRCA, Armco Steel, Constar and finally at ICL. Keith loved spending time with his family and friends, music and watching the Chiefs and Jayhawks, reading good books, watching movies, and loved to cook and grill, and he could fix or repair almost anything.
A visitation for Keith Glenn Poulsen, 60, Lawrence, will be from 4:30-6 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Casual dress would be preferable by family.
We invite you to make a donation to Alzheimer’s Association, Children’s Mercy Hospital or Ronald McDonald House in place of sending flowers, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260 Lawrence, Kansas 66044.

I thank the family for sharing Keith with us for several years. We use to tease each other and both knew it was all in fun. I’ll give him an A+ for bantering back and forth. This hits hard as it was too soon to go. Excellent electrician, and an excellent man and I feel blessed to have had him as a friend and brother. RIP my friend. And may god be with the family through this tough time??
My Deepest Condolences to the Poulsen Family. Keith and worked together at Constar.
