Alfred Lee Henricks

Alfred “BIG AL” Henricks, 68 of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away at Lawrence Memorial Hospital Monday, November 7, 2022.

He was born October 8, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Ok. The son of Donald Worth and Myrtle Lois Horne Henricks.

Al worked for RMT Construction for 15 years then went on to become a senior carpenter for the University of Kansas for 9 years.

He married Molly J. Harkins on February 6, 1976 in Ottawa, Kansas, she survives of the home. Big Al is also survived by three sons, Frank (Vandi) Henricks of Eudora, Kansas, Dave (Kara) Henricks of Baldwin City, Kansas, SSGT Kyler (Kyleigh) Henricks USMC, Jacksonville, North Carolina, one daughter Ange (RJ) Quigley of Lawrence, Kansas, five grandkids, Samuel, Shyanne, Denan, August & Mady, three great grandkids, Harper, Kam and Olivia. One brother Richard Henricks of Quenemo, Kansas, and many extended family.

He was preceded by three brothers, one sister and parents.

Cremation is planned, with memorial services at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, Ks.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1260 Lawrence, Kansas 66044
