Albert Dale Hamlin, 87, of Enon passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Enon. He was born Tuesday, September 3, 1935 in Perry, Kansas to the late Albert S. and Martha James Hamlin. Dale retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base and then became the grounds keeper for Sugar Isle Golf Course. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed gardening, and sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and neighbors. He enjoyed putting food out for the animals in the neighborhood, especially the squirrels. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Loene Z. Spena Hamlin, to whom he was married to for 65 years, a daughter and son-in-law; Jackie and Harold Edwards of Hutchinson, Kansas, a sister, Norma, four grandchildren; Lindsay, Brandi, Chase, and James, four great-grandchildren; Kya, Kamara, Javian, and Jonah, numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Janice Hamlin Huffman, and two brothers; Richard and Russell. Private burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence, Kansas.
