Marilyn Faye Thunderhawk, 67, Tonganoxie, died May 19, 2023. Services were held at Lawrence United Indian Methodist Church in Lawrence, Kansas. Pastor Danelle Mc Kinney conducted the ceremony with Marilyn ‘s friends attending. Burial took place at St. Charles Cemetery in St. Francis, South Dakota.

We saw the country together. From the Sundance to the ceremonials in Pawhuska. Remember my gig at Oklahoma State? How much fun we had just blowing ’em off. As my soul feels for our pipe, the one we held back for these moments, the tobacco ties we offered when Lawrence was being cruel, but always there was you, Zheema Zhin.
