So sorry to hear
As many have said Audrey was a mentor to me. She was the woman I strived to be and taught me so much as I tried to be the professional she would have wanted me to be. Even after her retirement from LMH she never forgot to reach out on my birthday which I always cherished. I am so lucky to have had her in my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and the women we have loss. She was amazing.
I am truly sorry for loss of Audrey from this world and she will be missed but definitely not forgotten! She was a mentor and friend to many but specifically me! She taught me so much about the business aspect of the medical profession. She was my first mentor outside of the medical profession and I’m pretty sure she is the reason I got my first job out of residency in Lawrence! I think of her often when I am dealing with billing and am so thankful I crossed paths with her! She was truly a remarkable woman!
Audrey was a mentor and more importantly good friend. I loved her beautiful eyes and her laughter. I miss her and out times together
To Audrey’s family, I remember when all three of you were children. I learned so much from her and the great office skills, I used them through my working years until retirement. A wonderful lady we have lost. RIP my friend. ?
I still have emails from Audrey. Her words of wisdom, encouragement, and guidance are timeless. She had a level of professionalism that I will always strive to match. Wishing strength and comfort for the entire family.

Adios my friend. You were an amazing mentor. I am so glad we became friends. We enjoyed many years of birthday lunches didn’t we? I am so glad I introduced you to salad turnips. Audrey was such an asset to the administrative world of healthcare in Lawrence. Jessica, Stephanie, and Aaron – I am so sorry for your loss. We lost a great one.
I had the opportunity to work with Audrey for several years. Professional, intelligent, kind, and compassionate are just a few of the adjectives to describe her. She was direct and expected perfection which I appreciated. We also enjoyed sharing grandchildren stories. She will be missed. My condolences to her entire family.
Audrey was a great friend, advisor, and mentor to our family since our coming to Lawrence some 40 years ago. Audrey was a multi-talented and deeply gifted individual with insight into so many differing ventures from caring for the needs of her friends and family to managing the various businesses that she advised over the years. She interacted with her fellow coworkers, her employees, and all those with whom she came into contact in the same way she cared for her friends and family. She will be missed. The Stein Family
