Dan, you were a great friend. Always a class clown. You cracked me up a lot. I can remember all the times we got together. You spent a few nights on my couch; but all of us just having to much fun. I remember your old Nova SS. You liked fast things. “Chim-Chim” you’ll missed forever.

From Scott Tuley...

From Dan Yoe...

Dan and I knew one another from Sunday school and since we were both going to be at South for junior high, we hung out quite a bit the summer after 6th grade. We decided to go for a bike ride on our 20 inch Stingrays (Dan had welded an extra long front fork to make a chopper). We took off with no money, no food, no water, and off course, no phones. We headed out south of town, crossed highway 59, and with no Clinton Lake headed west. We decided that we should probably turn around when we crested a hill and saw the dome of the Capitol in the distance. When asked what I had done at dinner I just said that we had gone for a ride. Maybe Dan told his folks that we gone 52 miles, I waited until I was in my twenties.

I remember Dan on his unicycle when we were growing up. It was unbelievable how he could ride it up and down those Alvamar hills. One of the nicest people I have ever know. My condolences to all of his family and friends.

From Sue Glatz...

Dear Family
I was so sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. I was his neighbor at Briarwood for almost 5 years. He and I would chat outside about lots of different things and he was often at his grill cooking something even when it was cold out!
He had a very big heart for helping people and storytelling.
I enjoyed being his neighbor.
I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve this life changing loss.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Sue Glatz

I share my deepest condolences to Dan’s family and friends. What a talented, creative, hard working guy. We go back to the early grades at Wakarusa Valley. Dan was a friendly mischievous kid with a massive streak of independence. Over the years, we saw each other only on occasion, but he never lost that independence, nor that unique sense of humor. Rest in peace, Dan. We’ll never forget you.
