Margaret and family- Thoughts and prayers for all of you at this sad time.
Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family Margaret… I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Steve’s passing.
I remember him so warmly from our time at KU University Relations together from 1988-2001. Besides being a very talented photographer he was a lovely human being – and I fondly recall his humour and our ‘banter’ together.
With love and my heartfelt condolences, Jeremy (London, UK)
I knew Steve from high school in Ellinwood, Kansas. He was class of 1965, I was class of 1967. We were friends despite the difference in our ages. He had a very cool 1958 black Chevy Impala with a 348ci. engine, 4 on the floor, lakes pipes, spinner hub caps, and a Continental kit. Later in life, we my wife and Margaret were “neighbors” about a 1/4 mile apart in the Pleasant Grove estates neighborhood. We would visit often and enjoyed seeing Larry Griffin from time to time. We are sorry for your loss Margaret, Amy, and Matt. Hope to see you Wednesday.
I am so sad to learn that I will not hear Steve’s quips and quirky observations again. He was a sharp observer of all things and behaviors and a wry sense of humor to narrate his thoughts. A special being, caring husband, father and grandfather and an enjoyable colleague. You went too soon, Steve.
Dear Margaret, Amy and Matt,
