Connie’s smile was like the Sun, always shinning, when I would see her. She was so open and genuine to all she met, a joy to know. Sorry for the loss of such a lovely person. She will be missed. Sending prayers to the family.

From JP and Gloria Lefmann...

We are so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. She and Willie were a very important part of our lives, took part in each other’s weddings, had our New Years Eve overnights for many years. Connie and I shared cooking ideas and were both involved in church outreach meals at the same time. We exchanged ideas and menus for them. Our world needs lots more people who are capable and willing to give to others. She will be missed by all who knew her.

So sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. Connie was always so sweet – I remember her as a child going to Centenary with Darren and Cory so long ago as well as an adult when I returned many years later. Connie was instrumental in the creation of the Festival of Nativities and it’s continued success and growth through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Cory and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Connie was such a sweet lady! We didn’t get to Lawrence to see her as often as we would have liked. We thought the world of her. Prayers go out to you and your family!

From Elizabeth Woods...

To Connie’s Son, We will always have wonderful memories of your Mom! Connie was so vital, energetic, full of good, creative, uplifting ideas for the betterment of all in this community and our world! Then Connie was busy implementing these ideas as other people thought the ideas were worth working on. She loved you and Willie and your brother so much! She didn’t tolerate selfishness, greed, or those who ran around saying “I don’t have..so give me”. But to those who truly were in need and were trying to work toward solutions, Connie was there working with them, and getting others to help get the needs taken care of. Connie was a dedicated member of Centenary United Methodist Church along with Wille and others. That church was always coming up with good, needed, outreach or just plain “good old fashioned fellowship with no questions asked”, by offering a meal once a week for those in North Lawrence and whoever wanted to drop by She and I would meet now and then working for the LINK Meal prep. We called each other now and then always catching up on what was going on with each other and our families. I will truly miss her and her joyous enthusiasm! I’ll be emailing other old classmates and friends about Connie’s death and we will share our good memories about your Mom with each other. Wish we could share some of our memories and photos of the good times we all has with you, too. Just know lots of us are grieving with you and Connie’s brothers and their families.
