So sorry for your loss. My prayers and and thoughts are with you.
As a sophomore at LHS in 1962, I wanted to learn the bassoon. I was fortunate enough to have Gwen as an instructor. It was a life-changer. No surprise that she was an influence to students world-wide.
I’m so sorry for your loss Pam
Prayers for comfort ❤️🙏
So sorry to hear of Gwen’s passing. I remember when the Altic family lived on Connecticut street and her father Ralph owned the Altic Champion Gas station in North Lawrence. Gwen’s sister Nancy was a classmate of mine.
Ms. Leckron was my sister and I piano teacher. She was an incredible teacher and person.
Sending love and prayers to all her family, friends and students she touched for comfort and healings.
Dear Pam, I’m so sorry to hear of Gwen’s passing. One of my earliest memories is when you and I were playing in your front yard and your dad came driving down Connecticut St., in his big black convertible and did a U turn to pull up in front of your house and out popped a hiding Gwen to surprise you with a visit home (maybe from college), you were so excited to see her and I was happy for you. I have a lot of great memories of being your childhood friend.
Nancy and Pam, your sister, Gwen, was a lovely person. I have good memories of the Altic/Fritzel families. Living next door to your family, we created a lot of childhood memories especially with several of your Aunts and Uncles, Grandma Fritzel, our parents and siblings. My thoughts and prayers to you. RIP Gwen!
Although we knew each other in high school, LHS class of 1959, we didn’t become good friends until I returned to live in Lawrence. Gwen and I shared a love of Indian food and often met to share a meal at a local restaurant where we would reminisce and laugh at our experiences. She will be missed.
Ms. Leckron was my HS choir teacher. Sorry to hear about her passing.
We were life long friends, started with sharing a crb when we toddlers. So many adventures in our life’s journey. Will so miss this dear friend 💖
