Funeral Services for Jay Dean Jameson, age 68 of Lawrence, who passed away April 29, 2025, are set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home of Lawrence. A private family interment will take place on Monday at the Eudora Cemetery.
Rest in Peace Jay. Your suffering is over. See you on the other side.

Jay thank you for being my friend. You are on my list of things to be grateful for. Kentucky Derby is today – I know you and Archie are going to watch the race together, laughing and having a great time like the old days. I know God has wrapped his arms around you and surrounded you with love and joy. I will always think of you when the Jayhawks play bball. RIP my friend.
I saw him several months ago and I could tell he was not feeling well at all.. I had given him my phone number – he wanted to come to our 50th class reunion, and he said he had no way to get there, so I offered to give him a ride… I am terribly sorry to see this, but he looked like his diabetes was really giving him a run, a very bad time of it. If that’s the case, heaven must be absolutely wonderful compared to what he went through on earth. I send my deepest condolences to his family, he will no doubt be missed a great deal.. Rest peacefully Jay, you have earned it.. Eventually we’ll all be there and what a reunion that will be.

Knew Jay in high school but hadn’t seen him in decades.
So sorry to hear of Jays passing. We knew Jay and his dad thru our auction business. They were great people. We’ll keep the family in our prayers.
