I worked with Herold when he was with Douglas County Maintenance. Harold seldom missed a day of work. It was a rare thing to hear him complain and I never saw him sherk a task. He was so even-keeled we gave him the nickname Buddah. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Harold was a rare breed, old school, and quietly strong. He will be missed
I remember growing up with all my cousins. When you come from a large family you get to know your cousins cause we had family get togethers alot.Harold would always talk to me and Patsy when we went to the cemetary. I am truly sorry for your loss.
I had the privilege to get to know Harold when I came over to work at Oak Hill Cemetery. It took a couple of months before I got more than a hello or goodbye out of him, but once he got to know you, he was fun to work with! A dry sense of humor, and willing to work hard would be a good description of Harold. While working together, we share shared stories about our families and I could tell how much he enjoyed his grandchildren and those who were now gone.
Harold will be missed, but for those of us who worked with him, we have great memories as I’m the family does too.
Virginia, Becky and I are so very sorry for your loss. The memories of the times we all spent together 30 something years ago came rushing back. Fun times! Harold was a friend and a good man. May he RIP.
He was a quiet person work hard and took care of his family. He will be missed. He is in peace with God. Will be missed
Sending you Virginia and your family love is this difficult time.
