Inge M. Housworth-Lathrom

Ingeborg Marie “Inge” Housworth-Lathrom, 78, of Lawrence, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026, at her home.

She was born January 20, 1948, in Regensburg, Germany, the daughter of Glenn Iris and Martha Anna (Heegaar) Turner.

Inge attended Lawrence High School and worked in logistics coordination at the Kmart Distribution Warehouse, retiring after 39 years of service.

She enjoyed writing, music, reading, and gardening.

On January 29, 1966, she married Neual Ernest “Ernie” Housworth, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2013. On November 12, 2016, she married Noble A. Lathrom, who survives.

Additional survivors include her brother, Charles G. Turner II and his wife, Sonya, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward L. and John W. Housworth; her parents; and her brother, Glenn I. Turner, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.
