Linda May Roberts

Mrs. Roberts was born August 15, 1948, in Lawrence, the daughter of Robert August Guenther and Ruby Kathryn (Henik) Guenther.

She married David Allan Roberts on February 13, 1970, in Lawrence Kansas and they shared 56 years together before his passing in February 2026.

Her early education was at Pleasant Grove, which was a one room schoolhouse located right next to her family home at the top of Pleasant Grove hill, and she later graduated from Baldwin High School in 1966.  She was employed by Hallmark Cards for over 40 years before retiring in 2009.  Linda enjoyed spending free time in her flower garden, trips to the greenhouses, quilting, and quilt shop adventures with her sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Amy, of the home; and two grandsons, Evan Hulse and Caden Hulse.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, David, and her parents Robert and Ruby Guenther.

So sorry to hear more news effecting lives of the Gunther siblings. I remember Linda as a small girl always looking through the fence from her yard into the school yard wanting to be with the school kids.

From Janet Churchbaugh Grant...

Linda was a dear friend during our high school years. We rode the school bus into Baldwin . We shared so many fun memories.
Unfortunately, we did not stay in close contact as the years went by.
I send my deepest sympathies and prayers for peace and comfort to the Guenther family and Robert’s family. May sweet memories, comfort you all.!❤️🙏🙏
