Lynnette Frances Fischer Callow was born to Gary and Debby (Olmstead) Fischer at Marysville, Ks on August 24, 1989 and passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on September 8th, 2026 in her home at Lawrence, Ks at 37 years of age.
Lynnette attended grade school at Summerfield, KS, followed by Jr. and Sr. High School at Marysville, KS. She always excelled as a student and was a popular child. She attended Highland Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree in Business. Lynnette also excelled in her work life and was a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for Littler-Mendelson for their Mexican offices.
Lynnette married the love of her life, Preston Callow, on October 12th, 2024. They’ve made Lawrence, KS their home since then. Lynnette was a loving mother to their four Fur Babies- Norah, Charlotte, Artemis, and Freya. Their pets filled their home with love. Lynnette and Preston bonded over TV shows and good movies- Good Will Hunting was her favorite. She was always excited when she could come home and talk to Preston about eagle spotting.
Lynnette was a caring and socially aware person. She used her birthday for a fundraiser for Harvesters Community Food Network and she used every holiday and birthday to raise money for some charity. Her other interests included experimenting with gourmet cooking- although she was mainly a proponent of the slow food movement. She was an accomplished clarinet player and was learning the guitar. She was a fan of KU and the Chiefs (a Swiftie fan too). Lynnette really relished the time she got to spend with the children on both sides of the family.
She was preceded in death by all four of her grandparents, her brother-in-law Steven Curtis-Boese, her uncle Gary Olmstead Jr., and her father-in-law Paul Callow. She is survived by her parents, sister Jessica Curtis-Boese, brother Sam Fischer, nieces Haley Wilson, Sora Curtis-Boese, Reese Fischer, mother-in-law Ann Callow, brothers-in-law Drew (Sarah) Callow and Tyler Callow, sister-in-law Lindsey (Jason) Wynne and their seven daughters and one son.
Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home of Lawrence is in charge of arrangements and memorials can be sent in care of them. Services and memorial designation will be announced later.
