Judith “Judy” Elaine Myer, 80, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Olathe Hospice House after a recent illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 10, 2026. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Judy was born October 28, 1945, to Fred and Mayme Coffman in Lawrence, Kansas. She married Dale E. Myer on September 21, 1967. They had one son, Jeffrey Dale Myer.
Judy worked at KU Printing Service for 26 years and retired in 2005. She was a loyal member of the Family of Faith Church in Eudora, Kansas. She was unable to attend church these last couple of years but enjoyed watching the services every Sunday on YouTube.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale, her sister JoAnn Elliott, and her brother-in-law Dean Elliott.
She is survived by her son Jeff and many nieces and nephews.

Oh my, “Sissy” will be so deeply missed.. As we age, the people around our holiday tables gets smaller and smaller, and she was an absolute delight! I feel quite blessed I ever got to know her, I know my daughter Marina feels the same way. We both loved to sit and chat with Sissy, and nobody on this earth can make the wonderful yams with marshmallows like she could, perhaps because she put a little love into everything she did.. I am so grateful that I knew Sissy, now – I realize it was brief, but she left a lovely place in all our hearts. She was a blessing.
So sorry to hear this about Judy. We attended church together and were friends for many years. She will be greatly missed missed.
