Robert Fred Roseberry, 85, Lawrence died Saturday October 17, 2015, at his home.
Robert was born December 23, 1929, in Danville, IL, the son of Ralph Weaver Roseberry and Beulah Elma Nichols Roseberry. In 1952 he graduated from Eastern IL University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Education.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a certified member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was employed by GE in Danville for eight years and FMC Corp. Phosphorous Chemical Division for 27 years retiring as Human Resources Manager On January 1, 1992.
Robert married Beverly Jane Hodges December 25, 1952. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Survivors include a son Mark R. Roseberry, Lawrence; daughter Lori L. Clark, Lawrence; brother Gene K. Roseberry, Girard, IL; grandchildren, Jared Young, David Clark, Hallie Frager, and a great-granddaughter Astra Young.

Very sorry for your loss. The last note I received from Bob was on October 13th. We had the pleasure of meeting several times and talking family history.

I met your father only briefly over the years that you and I worked together at Kief’s. In reading comments from others that knew him well I would have to say you inherited some of his traits…calm, wise with a sense of humor…which made you both valued co-workers. I’m glad you had to opportunity to reside with, and I’m certain, care for your father. We are sorry for your loss.

Your father was a great mentor to me when I came to Lawrence in 1977. I met him at FMC and he gave me the opportunity to work with him and FMC. I will always remember that he was kind, respctful and he taugtht me much about working with him and his expectations of perfection.He was a gentleman and a real professional and I will always remember him fondly.
I was very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was instrumental in my hiring into FMC as a brand new engineer in 1976. It was my pleasure to work with Bob until his retirement. We worked together on many occasions and Bob always was calm and collected and used his wisdom to work out good solutions to plant problems. Bob took particular pleasure in sharing his vast store of jokes with us and kept things light. He also had the coolest car ever – a blue AMC Matador, which he drove for many years.
I haven’t seen Bob much in recent years but I’ll never forget the many kindnesses he showed me.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.
