Memorial services for Daniel Wyatt Torneden, 73, Lawrence, will be 2 pm Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
He died Monday April 11, 2016, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar.
Daniel was born December 23, 1942, in Easton, Kansas, the son of Ernest Edward and Dorothy Geraldine Cline Torneden. Daniel worked for many years as a newspaper carrier.
He enjoyed playing bingo, going on casino runs, and running errands for friends.
Survivors include a sister Dora Bussart, Oskaloosa; nieces Shanda Torneden and Tammie Torneden-White and husband Fred, Lawrence, Julie Smith, Oskaloosa; sister in law Verna Torneden, Lawrence, several great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one niece
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
