Dianna Dean Schell

Dianna Dean Schell died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the age of 78. She died peacefully at home while being attended by her husband and family members with the aid of very special hospice workers.

She was the daughter of Robert and Christine Helm who preceded her in death.

She married Raymond Boyd Schell September 3, 1956. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary earlier this month.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Boyd Schell; two daughters, Christa R. Sharpsteen and Robin R. Bayless; two grandchildren, Whitney R. Dilegge and spouse David A. and Raymond D. Butler; one great grandson, Ty Beau Dilegge; brother, Robert Helm; and sister, Gail Ann Knab.  Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, and their families; cousins, Sandra Johnson and Robert Cline and their families.

Her brother, David Helm, preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory should be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, PO Box 1260, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Memorial services for Dianna have not been scheduled but at some future date should that change, family and friends will be notified.
