Messages & Condolences

From Julie Jasperson...

I’ve been incredibly blessed to be Donna’s next door neighbor for 25 years. Donna and Dave were the best neighbors anyone could have. Donna was a great friend and she was always there with compassion, love, caring, and often a good laugh. I enjoyed hearing stories of her early courtship with Dave, which was a true love story throughout their marriage. I brought some soup to her a week before she passed, and just a couple of days before, I was borrowing tables and chairs from her! I loved seeing her zip around in her little red car with the Gadabout license plate. How wonderful that she was able to maintain her full life, independence, activities, and friendships right to the end. Donna was the best neighbor anyone could have, and I’m so grateful to have known her for so long. She will be missed. With deepest sympathy,

From Geraldine Wilcox...

From Meagon, Keelan, Amaya and Holden...

One of my favorite memories of Donna (outside of her love for the daycare kiddos) was when I hosted an event her home. She was peeling the skin of grapes for her husband. She said he loved grapes but he had diverticulitis and could only eat them without the skin.

I thought to myself, that is true love?. Peeling grapes so your sweetie can have them.

I tell my kids that story. Find someone who will peel your grapes for you.

Donna, you are loved and will be forever missed. Thank you for all the memories and love.

From Dane Robinson...

Grandma Donna will be greatly missed. I still laugh at the times when both she and I would be in the drop off lane at Sunset Hills and she would get a little perturbed at someone in front of her not moving fast enough for her liking. Yeah, I wanted to honk at the people, but never did. Donna did, though. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Dear family, Donna was such a wonderful person. I knew David and Donna and I became friends through coming to office with him. After David passed she would bring in Lexi to the office for “visits” and it would truly make my day. I will really miss her friendship! So very sorry for your loss. RIP Donna!

From Susan McKenzie...

I will deeply miss Donna, my dancing partner at church. She had a great spirit and a true love of her God and family. Donna mistakenly called me last week. I will always cherish that last chat with her. And now, she’s dancing in the presence of Jesus; without shortness of breath or coughing to cause her to stop.
My deepest sympathy to Donna’s wonderful family.

From Pam Heath...

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My memory of Donna will be seeing her dancing in the aisle at church several weeks ago enjoying the worship music. She always made everyone smile and her joy was contagious. She will be surely missed.

From Betty Currie...

Eric, Jacki,Matthew & Dixie, We are very sad to hear of the loss of Donna. She was so full of life and was so energetic & fun. She always had a happy greeting when we saw her. Mark loved being a greeter @ Connect with her several years ago. Heaven just received one of the best pie makers & gracious lady that we know. We will miss seeing her every Sunday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of her on this earth. May God wrap his loving arms around your family at this most difficult time. Mark and I have lost both of our parents. We understand the void that this creates in one’s life, it’s very difficult to experience. Peace and comfort to your family @ during the weeks and months ahead. With deepest empathy,
Mark & Betty Currie
