I loved visiting with Arch!
I bought HIS Excecier big box MIDI accordion in 1998.
I was one of the original members of the Elders Celtic Rock Band!
Arch always scolded me about playing it to hard. I still have it if anyone is interested. I am 67 years old. God Bless Archie!

I met Archie back in the early 2000’s, when I took my first accordion to him to fix and tune, He was a wealth of knowledge. We would speak about music and he would offer advice to me on playing styles and chording. He would share stories of his gigs with me. Sometimes when I was in Lawrence ( I live in Topeka) I would stop by just to visit with him just to enjoy his company, He was such a great man and I was very blessed that I got to know him. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I was going through papers of my partner who recently passed, and I found a receipt for an accordion he bought from Arch in 1990. We still have that accordion, I love it and was playing earlier today. RIP Arch from Joe and I.

I really only knew Arch thru my dear friend Jay – but my daughter got to meet Arch in person and he made a space in her heart that will always be there. WOW – what a gift that was. He will be missed but not forgotten as he made spaces in many hearts everyday of his life. WOW again – it doesn’t get much better than that. Jay bless you my friend and thanks for being my friend.

From Rich Sosinski...

I first met Arch some twenty years ago when he serviced the accordion I had played as a child. Over the years I visited his home and workshop many times as he repaired and tuned my instruments, two of which I bought from him. Sometimes I just went over to visit, and we would talk about his playing with Don Lipovac and I would watch him work. He enjoyed listening to me playing the instruments he had for sale. I will miss his wealth of knowledge, his easy-going humor but most of all his friendship.

Archie will be so greatly missed, he was a very kind and lighthearted man. I’ll never forget how much joy he had showing me his collection of accordions and guitars. It was an honor to have such a wonderful grand-uncle.

I’m so glad I got to meet Archie see his wonderful accordion collection. A friend took me there in the nineties and I bought my red accordion which I still play. It was so much fun to hear Archie’s stories about playing music in a band. What a nice man he was. Condolences to his family.

Archie Jameson delivered fuel. I remember him visiting with my parents Lyle & Louise Weeks at their farm near Eudora. He was a respected person by everyone who knew him. My classmate, Don Bohnsack just died and now Archie Jameson, who had married Doris Bohnsack, has died. Two fine men who made a difference to many by their integrity, faith, and goodness. I will remember your father as a person who my parents called friend. Elizabeth Weeks Woods

I was fortunate to cross paths with Archie when I was looking for an accordion for our grandson, Sam 2 years ago. As we were visiting and looking over the instruments, I realized I had known his son, Larry back in the day. What a knowledgeable man, so kind and encouraging. He even gave me some beginning sheet music for Sam. I will treasure the short but sweet interactions we shared. You were a bright spot in my life. Rest in peace.
