Funeral services for Rebecca M. (Knight) Brinker, 39, Lawrence, will be at 11 am Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kay Scarbrough officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 am until service time Wednesday. Burial will follow the service in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City.
Rebecca (Becky) Marie Brinker, age 39, of Lawrence, KS passed away at home on Sunday, November 7th, 2021.
Becky was born on February 27th, 1982, in Wichita, KS. Dennis and Cyndi (Stockdale) Knight later moved their three children to Mountain Home, AR; then ultimately settled their family in Baldwin City, KS. Becky graduated Baldwin City High School in 2000.
Becky married the love of her life, Jesse Brinker on March 14th, 2017, in Lawrence, KS. They vowed to have and hold for better for worse, in sickness and health, to love and cherish until death do us part. They lived those vows every day and although their time together on earth was too short, their love will live on forever. The couple raised their two children Lexie and Cordelia Brinker in Lawrence, KS close to family and friends.
Becky was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited by any moment or event to be near her whole family. Becky worked various food service and customer service jobs until her health prevented her formally working. Despite her hardship, Becky chose happiness and looked for joy in everyday moments.
Becky loved cooking, baking, photography, games and learning about her family.
On her journey and through her struggles Becky never let the hard times make her weary…anyone who has ever met Becky, will express how her spirit, inspiration and energy touched their lives for the better.
