Graveside services for Elizabeth J. ‘Betty’ O’Connor, 93, Stull, will be at 10 am Tuesday at Stull Cemetery, with the Rev. Faye Wagner officiating. Betty died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook.
She was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Lawrence, the daughter of Frank and Irene Hoffsommer Wulfkuhle. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School. She was a homemaker, and worked on the farm with her husband. She was a lifelong member of Stull United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women.
Betty married Glen O’Connor on Jan. 1, 1945, at her parent’s home. Betty and Glen made their home on their farm west of Stull for 67 years. Glen survives at Brookside Retirement Community. Other survivors include a son, Kenneth O’Connor and wife Patty, Lecompton; a daughter, Brenda Sexton and husband Mitch, Berryton; a sister, Ruth Ice, Lawrence; and two grandsons, Mitchell Sexton and wife Nancy and their children and grandchildren, Michael O’Connor and wife Tara and their daughters Cassody and Logan O’Connor. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Anderson.
