Graveside inurnment for Cathy Marie Munoz, 59, Ozawkie, will be 11 am, Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be 5-6:30, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
She passed peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2020, at her home.
Cathy was born August 3, 1961, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Shirley Ann Athey and Arthur “Sonny” Tarpy.
Her favorite hobbies were gardening and watching KU Basketball. She worked for Berry Plastics for twenty plus years.
Survivors include her loving husband, Andrew (Jim) Munoz, Ozawkie; daughter, Hannah Newton (Dakota Weishaar), Meriden; mother, Shirley (Athey) Tarpy, Lawrence; brother, Allan Tarpy, Lawrence; sister, Rebecca (Tarpy) Dilts, Lawrence; sister, Cheryl (Tarpy) Splinter (Randall), Canton, GA; two step sons, Austin Munoz (Roni), Topeka, James Munoz (Buffie), Topeka; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and four nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
