Cherrill L. Shoemaker, 80, passed away in her home on March 13, 2022, after a long illness. Cherrill was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored her family and enjoyed her years of service for local dentists. She loved her rural Lawrence life with family close by and was a lifelong fan of KU basketball.
Cherrill was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, her parents Lorin and Dorothy Snow, one brother and her only sister. She is survives by brothers Gary Snow (Lawrence), Steve Snow (Jenks, Okla.), daughter Vickie of the home, son Brad (Topeka), grandchildren Ashley Shoemaker (Lawrence), Cameron Shoemaker and wife Hayley (Lincoln, Neb.), Hannah Shoemaker (Holton), and two great grandchildren, Adalyn and Brody Porter (Lawrence).
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 18th at 11 am at Oak Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Brecke officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.
