Funeral services for Dorothy May Davis, 76, rural Lawrence, will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Berry officiating. Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2 pm at Udall Cemetery in Udall, Mo. Mrs. Davis died Monday, Apr. 17, 2017, at her home.
She was born May 15, 1940, in Bakersfield, Mo., the daughter of Alf Thomas and Agnes Clara Kirkland Climer. She graduated from high school in Bakersfield in 1959. Dorothy was a homemaker, and worked as a property manager. She was a member of JCEEU, and attended First Baptist Church of McLouth.
She married Burl Dean Davis on Mar. 27, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, Mo. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Larry Todd Davis, Lawrence; a brother, Ed Climer, Lawrence; a sister Anna Climer Liberty, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and one granddaughter, Chantelle Amanda Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charlie Climer.
