Graveside services for Ralph Leonard Davis, Jr., 83, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Davis died Sunday, September 25, 2016, at his home.
He was born October 1, 1932, in Flippin, Arkansas, the son of Ralph Leonard Davis, Sr. and Dorshia Queary Davis. He has lived in the Lawrence area since 1959.
Mr. Davis worked for the city of Lawrence as a mechanic. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. He enjoyed working in the garage, doing yard work, traveling, and spending time with family.
He married Lily Louise McCracken on December 24, 1959, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include sons, David Davis of Lawrence, and Ronnie Davis and wife Bonnie of Perry; daughters, Vicky Rousselo and husband Earl of Lawrence, and Brenda Davis-Miller and husband Mike of Lawrence; brothers, Bill Davis of California, Gerald Davis of Arkansas, Otis Davis of Arkansas; sisters, Nina Ray of Lawrence, Wilma of Bonner Springs, Shirley of Arkansas, Dorothy of Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 10 a.m. until service time of Thursday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Ralph Davis, Jr. Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
