Funeral services for Sharon Kay Stowe, 64, Lawrence, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stowe died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at her home.
She was born September 25, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn E. and Shirley Ann Degan Rosebrough.
Mrs. Stowe was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and researching genealogy. She was awarded the Pioneer Award for her work in the study of genealogy. She also loved animals, collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia, horses, and westerns.
She married Glenn L. Stowe, June 20, 1977, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three children, Mekell R. Stowe and fiancé Ed Butler of Lawrence, Amy Lynn Benjamin and husband Jason of Lawrence, Casey Ann Vigil and husband Damon of Lawrence; brother, Glenn “Eddie” Rosebrough of Lawrence; grandchildren, Mackenzie Adams, Jordan Benjamin, Cody Benjamin, Jaden Battelle, Colton Smith, Kylie Smith, Maeva Vigil; great grandchildren, Kailor Benjamin and Cannon Weeks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Anita Marie Cannon.
Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Operation Wildlife, sent in care of the funeral home.
