Darryl D. Vande Vooren was born in Sioux Falls, SD 1948. He was the 1st born son of Henry Vande Vooren and Gladys Vande Vooren.
In 1972, he married Cary L. Vande Vooren and lived in Rapid City, SD, and Lawrence, KS, until his death.
Darryl proudly served and retired from the US Navy and US Army National Guard. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1975 as an Electrical Engineer. He worked for Control Data Corporation, Magnetic Peripheral Incorporated, which he was very fond of, and then SCI-Sanmina Corporation.
Death came early Saturday morning, July 13, 2024, in Lawrence, KS.
A private family viewing and cremation will follow.
Survivors: wife, Cary; Son David (Amy) and grandson; Sisters and Brothers Linda (Jerry), Rhonda (Tom), Mark (Wanda), and families.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
