Eldred Lee Earl

Services for Eldred Lee Earl, 69, Lawrence, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Logan, Kansas.

Mr. Earl died Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, in Lawrence, Kansas.

He was born April 30, 1941, in Speed, Kansas, the son of Dean Elton Earl and Zelma LaVern Quanz Hoover.

Mr. Earl worked as a Die Cut Operator at Lawrence Paper Company for 38 years.

He married Rosalee Marie Carver, March 22, 1969 in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the First Baptist Church. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, a niece and a nephew.

Mr. Earl was a benefactor and active member of the NRA, participated in the civil war reenacting, he enjoyed western movies, and collecting John Wayne memorabilia.

Other survivors include two brothers, Larry Dean Earl and wife Patricia, Glade, KS, Skip Lee Hoover and wife Sammy, Emporia, KS; sisters, Sally Kay McCorkle, Phoenix, AZ, Connie Beth Bigler, Lindsborg, KS, Tonda Earl Hugill and husband Pat, Chandler, AZ; 8 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
