Elizabeth Louise Lutz (nee Ward) passed away of natural causes on July 6, 2020, at her home in Lawrence, Kansas. Beth, as family and friends knew her, was born on May 6, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Hamilton and Margaret Ann (Curry) Ward.
Beth was raised in Clermont, Florida, a wholesome, small town where you knew everybody—and everybody knew your parents. She graduated from Clermont High School in 1974 and moved to Winter Park, Florida, where she lived, worked, and met her husband, David Lutz.
Beth and Dave were married in July 1989 at the Minneola Baptist Church in Minneola, Florida, and were happily married for over 30 years until her untimely passing. Beth was a person of deep faith. She enjoyed the outdoors, sunsets, and reading.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Ham and Maggie Ward.
Beth is survived, and will be sadly missed, by her husband David Lutz of Lawrence, Kansas, her two sisters, Ann Rossini of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Layne Ward of Gainesville, Florida, three brothers, Steve Ward of Clermont, Florida, Keith Ward of Vero Beach, Florida, and Scott Ward of Cape Canaveral, Florida, fifteen nieces and nephews, and more cousins than we can count.
Visitation will be held at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence, KS, on Monday, July 13th from 5:00-7:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
