Peter T. Dougherty, 80, Lawrence, KS, formerly of Prairie Village, KS, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2017 at the home, surrounded by family.
He was born in Kansas City, MO, and was a graduate of Rockhurst High School and College. He participated in and enjoyed all sports.
Pete was preceded in death by his brother, James Dougherty SJ, sister Margaret Hodes and his son, Kevin.
Survivors include his loving wife, Ernestine (Ernie), son Patrick (Kathy), daughter, Deanne Arnote (Jay), step children, Janice Early, Nancy Spiegel, Neil Early, Keith Early, Chris Early, Teresa Riley, and sixteen grandchildren.
Pete willed his body to the University of Kansas Medical Center program. A memorial mass will be celebrated on August 19th at 11 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Prairie Village.
