Michael Frances Paver

Michael Paver passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Providence Medical Center.

He was born January 16, 1949 in Kansas City, MO son of Jennie F. & Michael M. Paver.  He graduated from Washington High School in 1968 and was a life-long resident of Kansas City, KS.

Michael began his adult working career as Rust Door & Window, which filled his love of working with wood.  Unfortunately, due to corporate lay-offs he had to find a different job.  He worked at Alex Masson Greenhouse in Linwood, KS as a truck-driver for 30 years until his retirement in 2011.  This job fulfilled his love of driving and working semi-independently.

His first marriage result in two lovely young daughters, Erica & Michelle.   In August, 1981 he met Wanda Lynn Torneden at a swimming pool party in Kansas City, KS & they married 4 months later on December 11, 1981 at the Stanwood Friends Church in Tonganoxie.  During their 35 years of marriage they traveled extensively and enjoyed many trips to area lakes fishing.  Wanda survives in the home.

Other survivors include his daughters:   Erica Simpson of Piper (her husband Jim and their 3 beautiful children Harker, Eli, Lexi) and Michele Paver of Kansas City (her husband Burt Appleby), and sister, Rita Tyner of Eugene, Or.   Another sister Becky Beach (her husband Jim), and brother-in-law Jack “Chip” Tyner preceded him in death along with his parents, Genvieve F Wilkoszynski-Paver & Michael Mither Paver.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Reno Cemetery Association where Michael’s remains will be laid to rest along with many of his loving in-laws.  The donations will be used to help maintain and up keep this beautiful country cemetery.  Donations can be sent to:  Reno Cemetery Association 23182 Linwood Road Linwood, KS 66052 or sent in care of the funeral home.
