Randy passed away Thursday February 26, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence Kansas surrounded by his loving family.
Randy was born June 10, 1957 in Kansas City, MO. Son of Robert Lee Jones and Lenora V. Holtom. They preceded him in death as well as his step father Richard C. Holtom.
Randy grew up in Baldwin City, KS and then moved to California where he met his wife Diane. Randy was self-employed for thirty years in the interior window covering industry. He started his business in the 1980 then moved back home to Baldwin City, Kansas in 1992.
Randy was a hard worker and loving father and husband. He loved to be around the water either skiing or playing with his sons. He was always working with his hands and teaching his boys everything he knew. Pool was one of his favorite hobbies. Randy always lived life to the fullest and loved to talk to everyone. Most everyone knew him as “the Shutter Man”. Randy beat throat cancer in 2008 and never let life slow him down.
Survivors include his three sons Justin Michael Jones, Evan Riley Jones, and Taylor Lee Jones all of Baldwin City, Kansas; two brothers Robert Leo Jones of Glendale, Wisconsin and Rodney Lee Jones of San Diego, CA.
Memorial Mass will be held at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Baldwin City, KS on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10am with Father Farrar presiding. Inurnment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City.
