Loman Hoover Lathrom

Funeral services, with military honors for Loman Hoover Lathrom, 86, Lawrence, will be 11 am, Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wild Horse Cemetery, Jefferson County.

Loman died Wednesday, at Midland Care Hospice House, Topeka.

He was born May 17, 1929, in Rayborn, MO, the son of Ulysses S. Grant and Josie Wilhite Lathrom. He served in the United States Navy in 1949. Loman was a Carpenter for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. Many hours were spent around a campfire.

Loman married Estalene Lela Perkins in Salinas, CA, on October 24, 1950, she survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Brenda and husband Don Curtiss, Chubbuck, ID, Linda and Wayne Zook, Lawrence, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sons Gary Loman Lathrom and Robert Lee Lathrom.

Friends may call from noon to 8 pm Monday where the family will receive them from 6-7 pm, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
