No public services are planned at this time for Marjean K. Klotz, 78, Lawrence.
Mrs. Klotz died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 15, 1932, in Topeka, the daughter of Estel and Lena Owen Macey. She graduated from Topeka High School.
Mrs. Klotz worked for Lawrence Unified School District #497 at West Junior High, South Junior High, and Lawrence High School from 1973 to 1988 as a cashier and baker. She later worked for Ed Marling’s Home Furnishings from 1988 to 1995.
She married Edgar V. “Eddie” Klotz on Apr. 29, 1951, in Topeka. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include four children, Connie (Fox) Van Horne, Las Vegas, Allen Klotz, Murphy, Tex., Craig Klotz, Lawrence, and Robert Klotz, Kissimmee, Fla; a sister, Joyce Macey Feldstein Popham, Bedford, Tex.; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Per Mrs. Klotz’s wishes, there will be a joint memorial service upon the occasion of Mr. Klotz’s death.
