Mary Ellen Rausch Paulson

 Funeral services for Mary Ellen Rausch Paulson, 75, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.  Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Grinter Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Paulson died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Olathe, the daughter of David and Dorothy Lee Chesney.  She attended schools in Clovis, New Mexico.

Mrs. Paulson was employed by Davol, Inc. until they closed.  She was previously employed by King Radio and Packer Plastics.  She was a member of the Eudora Assembly of God, the Eagles #309 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Women in the Moose Chapter #1091.  She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, camping, socializing, and being ‘Grammy.’

She married Alvin L. Rausch on May 5, 1956.  He died Feb. 28, 1971.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Survivors include five children, Frances Alexander, Greensboro, N.C., Vickie Rausch, Lawrence, Dorothy Williams and husband Lloyd, Lenexa, David Rausch and wife Mary, Olathe, and Mary K. Dixon, Lawrence; a brother, Herb Chesney and wife Peggy, Parachute, Colo.;  eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
