Minnie M. Carpino, 91, of Lawrence passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Minnie was born December 30, 1925, in Franklin, Kansas. Her parents were George and Minnie (Vernetti) Blue. She grew up and attended schools in the Franklin area, moving to Parsons, Kansas in 1952. Prior to retirement, she was a long-time employee of the Parsons Clinic. She lived in the Lawrence area after leaving Parsons in July 2006.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jim Carpino.
Survivors include two children, Jimmie Carpino of Arlington, Texas, and Diane Woolfolk of Baldwin City, Kansas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Minnie has been entrusted to the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, for cremation. Other arrangements are pending.
