A visitation for Troy Solomon Watts, 85, Lawrence, will be Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 pm at Osage American Cemetery, Osage City, Kan. Troy died Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at his home.
He was born January 26, 1936, in Bruno, Ark., the son of Alfred and Nancy Begley Watts. He attended schools in Pea Ridge, Ark. Troy worked as a logger and milk truck driver in Arkansas, for Rodney Milling Co., Cook Conoco, and Hankamer Ready Mix in Topeka, and later bought a dump truck and started TW Trucking Co. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, doing handyman work, and gardening.
Troy married Shirley Ann Roberts of Osage City. She passed away in 1982. He then married Vickie Nelson. They later divorced. He later married Rebecca Tingle on August 2, 2003. She survives of the home. Other survivors include son Robert Watts, Scranton, Kan., daughter Deborah Watts and husband Russell Shults, Dover, Kan., and Roy Watts and wife Sherry, Topeka; stepchildren Danny McAlister, Tina Mayo, Angela Brandon and husband Bill, Randy Tingle and wife Carol, Thelma Wise and husband Jim; grandchildren Topainga, Nikita, Roy Jr., Dezera, Brina, Christina, Ricky, Alfred Jr., Crina, and Brandy, and many great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
