Leon Hattabaugh was born in Coal Hill, AR on November 26, 1951. He died June 25, 2015 at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela Hattabaugh-Bley (husband James) Shawnee, a son Christopher Hattabaugh, Lawrence, 2 brothers, Donnie and Kenny, Lawrence; 6 sisters, Wanda Faye Shackelford (husband Lloyd), Linda Kay Hibner (husband Buck), Joyce Anderson (Husband Kenny), Judy Holder (husband Richard), Connie Stroda, all of Lawrence; Kathy Stephens, Iola; and 5 grandchildren (Kiana, Kylee, Eric, Ella, and Mason).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Alma Hattabugh; brothers, Harley, Wayne, and James Hattabaugh; and sister Velma Dean Estes.
Leon found the funny in everything and always brought a smile to your face. It was hard to tell sometimes if he was joking or serious. All who knew him have a fond memory of his sense of humor, his caring heart, and loving nature. He loved to hunt and fish. These times will always be remembered.
Inurnment will be at 11 am Wednesday, July 1 at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 am to 10:45 am and proceed to the cemetery.
