A visitation for Carmen Marie Jacobs, 73, Topeka, will be 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory.
Ms. Jacobs died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.

Funeral services for Wilbur Lee Wright, 82, Lawrence, will be Tuesday at 2 pm at First Baptist Church, 1330 Kasold Dr. Lawrence, with the Rev. Matt Sturtevant officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Wright died Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 10, 1935, in Robinson, Kan., the son of Warren and Fay Pierce Wright. He graduated from Powhattan High School in 1953, and from Highland Jr. College in 1955. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1958, where he attended Military Police training at Camp Chaffee, Georgia. He later worked in Army administration as a clerk/typist in the Fischbach, Germany Ordnance Depot. Following his Army stint, he returned to Kansas State University to graduate with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1963. Wilbur worked for 37 years in civil service, including 33 years with the Farmers Home Administration. He was a 50+ year member of First Baptist Church, where he served on the building committee and as a Deacon. He also attended Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo. Above all Lee enjoyed his family and friends through his passion for farming and all things mathematic. He owned farms in Douglas, Franklin, and Jackson County.
He married Virginia Jean Peters on Mar. 12, 1958, in Lompoc, Calif. She preceded him in death in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son Kurtis Lee Wright, a brother George Wright, a sister, Avanell Roseberry, and a nephew Nathan Wright. Survivors include two sons, Kyle Wright and wife Tammy, Virginia Beach, Va., and Karl Wright and wife Angie, Pomona; grandsons Kurtis, Michael, and Wyatt; granddaughters Virginia and Sarah; and great grandsons Mason and Maddex.

Funeral services for Harold C. Jehle, 95, rural Baldwin City, will be Saturday at 1 pm at St. John’s United Church of Christ, north of Worden, with the Rev. Heather Coates officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Harold Jehle passed on to glory on March 13, 2018, at the age of 95. Harold was born September 15, 1922, to Walter and Emma Jehle. He was married on February 23, 1950, to Wincel Butell.
Harold was a lifelong resident of rural Douglas County Kansas. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He came home and in 1949 opened a garage in Worden. In 1972, he sold the business and became a full time farmer north of Worden.
He was a devoted husband to Wincel, and father to two sons, Ron and Charles. He was proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harold was an avid collector and attended auctions and shows collecting tools, barb wire and other antiques. He was an active member of the American Legion Lloyd Beaton Post 228.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ivan and Edwin.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Ron (Linda) of Hurst, Tx and Charles (Janet), Baldwin City, grandchildren Ted (Kayla) Jehle, Mark (Danielle) Jehle of Baldwin City and Sara (Gabe) Munoz of Arlington, TX. Also, his great grandchildren were McKade and Emme Jehle of Baldwin City and Amber and Isabella Munoz of Arlington,Tx.

A memorial visitation for Judy Lee (Ikenberry) Farmer, 54, Lawrence, will be Thursday, March 15 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Judy passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Olathe Hospice House from ovarian cancer. Private inurnment will be in Pioneer Cemetery at the University of Kansas.
Judy was born on August 29, 1963 in Lawrence, KS. She was the daughter of Raymond Lloyd Ikenberry (Myrna), Lawrence, and Thelma Jean “Jeanie” Randel Frank (Arlen), Wellsville. She is survived by both parents; brother, Alan Ikenberry (Kathy), Baldwin; sons, Matthew Farmer, Lawrence and Travis Farmer, Ottawa; grandchildren, Craetyn and Rhylee Farmer, Ottawa and Kenzleigh Farmer, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Ira and Sylvia Ikenberry, Baldwin, maternal grandparents William “Bill” and Thelma Randel, Baldwin; aunt Dee Ann Randel Augustus, Lawrence, uncle Clifford Ikenberry, Baldwin, and aunt Dorothey Powell.
Judy was a lifelong resident of Lawrence, attending Pinckney, Broken Arrow, South Jr. High, Lawrence High and the University of Kansas, where she completed her degree in Social Welfare. Judy worked at the University of Kansas for over 26 years, and especially enjoyed her time employed at African and African American Studies, and the Center of Latin American and Caribbean Studies which spurred her interest in international travel. Judy enjoyed playing sports, bicycling, kayaking and paddle boating on Marion Lake and Lake Shawnee, traveling, listening to live music, watching KU Basketball, and Diet Coke with Lime.
Amongst the greatest joys of her life were her sons and grandchildren; her most favorite trips to Alaska, New Orleans, Cuba, Nicaragua and Australia; the all-expense paid trip to LA as one of Dr. Phil’s biggest fans for his 1000th show; and her visits as an audience member for Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel tapings. Among her favorite bands were The Eagles, Rascal Flatts, Samantha Fish and Travis Marvin. She enjoyed attending blues festivals. She was active in organizing several of her Class of 1981 Lawrence High School reunions and was known for remaining in contact with many of her high school classmates. She was a loyal and dedicated family member, friend, and employee of the University of Kansas, where she worked the majority of her career.

A celebration of the life of Aneita F. Burton, 68, Lawrence, will be held at Wayne & Larry’s on April 14, 2018, from 4 pm – 9 pm.
Aneita passed away Friday, Mar. 9, 2018, at her home, following a short battle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 13, 1950, in Walla Walla, Wash., the daughter of Walter and Irene LaRue Freeman. She attended schools in Mountain Grove, Mo. Aneita was the owner and operator of Aneita’s Alterations & Sew Forth for 28 years. She and her husband also volunteered at Clinton Lake Campground for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, travel, brew fests, Pokémon Go hunting, and KU basketball. She was a member of the Lawrence Brewer’s Guild, and a past member of the International Association of Firefighters Local 1596 Ladies Auxiliary.
Aneita married Robert C. ‘Bob’ Burton on October 1, 1983 at Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus. He survives of the home. Other survivors include four children, James Byerley, Lawrence, Kenneth Byerley (Misty Eaton), Perry, David Burton (Susan), Manhattan, and Robert Burton, Lawrence; nine siblings, Tarry Freeman (Bette), Alamo, Tex., Vance Freeman (Vickie Vormehr), Lawrence, Dean Freeman, Lawrence, Alfred Freeman (Cheryl), McLouth, Wanda Salierno (Richard), Lawrence, Leonard Freeman (Tina), Lawrence, Mary Besser (Gordon), Oskaloosa, Bill Freeman, Ottawa, and Angie Freeman, Lawrence; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A visitation for Sally Larson will be held Sunday from 2 to 3:30 pm at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Sally died Thursday, Mar. 8, 2018, at her home.
Sally Irene Murray Larson was born October 24,1950, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, to Doris and Max “Jack” Murray. Sally was baptized and received her First Communion at Saint James Catholic Church in Kearney, Nebraska. Sally attended Saint James Catholic school until second grade. She continued her education at Axtell Community School in Axtell, Nebraska, graduating in 1969. Following graduation, Sally attended Kearney State College in Kearney, graduating in 1973 with her bachelor’s degree in Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education.
Sally was united in marriage on July 22, 1972, to Dudley Ray Larson at Saint James Catholic Church in Kearney, Nebraska. Sally started her teaching career in Minden, Nebraska, teaching fourth grade. She received her Master’s Degree from Kearney State College in 1978. Dudley and Sally welcomed their son Brett Ray on September 29, 1979. Dudley and Sally made their home in Axtell, Nebraska, living in Dudley’s grandparent’s home until moving to Lawrence, Kansas, in 1987. Sally taught at Sunset Hill Elementary in Lawrence where she positively impacted the lives of many children. Sally was well respected by her students and their parents. Sally taught for 42 years.
Sally and Dudley enjoyed traveling and dining in search of the perfect barbecue joint. Their travels took them all over. Together they entered barbecue contests where Sally took pride as the presentation designer.
Even though Dudley and Sally lived in Kansas they were still able to attend many Nebraska Cornhusker Football games together.
Family reunions brought them to Sally’s childhood farm in the summer. Sally loved being with her family. Sally treasured time spent with her precious two granddaughters: Olivia, 5 and Lillian, 3. Shopping together brought them many happy moments. Sally will forever be remembered for her kind and loving soul. Sally never spoke an unkind word, and she will be missed and remembered everyday by her family and friends.
Sally was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence, Kansas.
Sally is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dudley Larson. Son Brett Larson and his wife Danielle and their two daughters, Olivia and Lillian of Hebron, Nebraska. Mother Doris Murray of Axtell, Nebraska. Brother Max Murray and wife Teresa of Kearney, Nebraska. Sister Nancy Murray of Axtell, Nebraska. Nephew Chadd Murray and his wife Dawn of Kearney. Niece Angela Philbrick and husband Trent of Gering, Nebraska and seven great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Max Murray. Grandparents, Myrtle and Max Murray (Paternal) and Blanche and August Bleck (Maternal).
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at St. James Catholic Church, Kearney, Neb.. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kearney. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home, Kearney.

Janet Sue Perico, 77, passed away Friday, March 2nd, in Lawrence, KS. Janet was born in Arkansas City, KS on December 30th, 1940. She was born to Lyle and Ione Newman.
Janet lived an exciting life traveling to many countries such as Europe and Spain many times. One of her many passions included teaching, education and traveling. Her kids and grandkids were her drive. In the early 80’s Janet moved to Big Sur, CA where she lived on the coast which she enjoyed immensely. Janet was a High School English teacher, then went on to instruct at KU teaching Women’s Studies and Philosophy. One of her joys was teaching young men how to carry themselves as she was also a House Mother at 2 Fraternities at the University of Kansas. Janet was full of love and had a vibrant personality who taught many to never give up.
Janet is proceeded in death by her son Gregory Allen Perico, her parents Lyle and Ione Newman, sister Linda Steele (Ben), and the father of her children, Berklie Boggs Perico. Janet leaves behind a brother Edward Newman (Patty) Son Doug (Lisa) Perico, Son, Brad Perico, a Daughter Lisa (Dino) Bell, Her grandchildren, Cambria Mayes, Shabrie Perico, Jordan Banks, Alyssa Bell and Damon Perico. Janet also leaves behind many nieces & nephews.

A Memorial Service & Celebration of Life will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City KS at a later date.

Graveside services for Lottie Irene Rist, 87, Lawrence, will be 11 am, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.
She died Friday March 2, 2018, at her home. Lottie was born February 4, 1931, in Plano, Iowa, the daughter of Ray Jake and Emma Fay Wailes Lotridge.
She graduated from Centerville High School, Iowa.
Lottie was a homemaker, a greenhouse worker and custodian for USD 497 in Lawrence
Lottie married Floyd Richard Rist on March 13th 1954 in Olathe, KS, he preceded her in death in August, 1980.
Survivors include two sons; John and wife Terrie Rist, Waddell, AZ, Richard and Janene Rist, Lawrence; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband and daughter Bessie Fay Foster.
Friends may call from noon to 8 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018. A visitation will take place from 6-7 pm.

Charles E. Alldredge Jr. passed away peacefully on February 27, 2018 after a long illness.
He was born June 1, 1931, in Lawrence, the son of Charles Alldredge and Julia Creason.
Charles attended high school in Kansas City and later served in the Navy aboard the USS George E. Davis.
After his discharge he worked for Dean Haynes Caterpillar out of Kansas City. The family moved to Booneville, Missouri then Bonner Springs, Kansas while he kept the earth movers running during the construction of I-70 in Kansas and Missouri. The family then moved to Lawrence, Kansas while he worked at the Reuter Organ Company. During the Vietnam War he worked for Sunflower Army Ammunitions plant in DeSoto, Kansas. He then worked until retirement at Owens Corning Fiberglass Company in Kansas City. After retirement, he worked at Lawrence High School in the maintenance department. After his second retirement, and because his love of golf, he worked at Alvamar Golf Course, keeping the golf carts running.
He was very active in Eagles Lodge and served on the board and as president.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Alldredge of Lawrence; sons, Steve Alldredge of DeLand, Florida, Stan Alldredge and wife Theresa of Lecompton, daughter, Sandi Yeakel and husband Rich of Lawrence; three grandchildren, Cassidy Carter, Tyler Yeakel, and Andy Alldredge.
He is preceded in death by his sister Veda Godsey and grandson Jason Alldredge.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hillside Village Nursing Home for the excellent care they gave him.
