Services for Judy Anne Horton, 82, Lawrence, Kansas, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Horton died Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Monterey Village in Lawrence.
She was born October 9, 1939, in Marceline, Missouri, the daughter of Ralph Seymour and Virginia Ruth Marlow Scott. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1957.
Mrs. Horton retired from Hallmark Cards in Lawrence and later became the administrator at the Pattonsburg Senior Center in Pattonsburg, Missouri.
She enjoyed genealogy, sewing, attending the Pattonsburg Methodist Church, serving on the Pattonsburg City Council, spending time with family and helping others.
She married Ronald O. Horton on March 2, 1958. He died in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Elzea and husband Mark of Lawrence; daughter-in-law Tamera Horton of Lee’s Summit, MO; grandchildren, Patrick Elzea and wife Amy, Amber Lenoir and husband Patrick, Evan Elzea, Leah Horton, Eric Elzea, and Ashlyn Brewer and husband Nicholas; brother Ralph “Butch” Scott and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Ronald Roger Horton, grandson, Joseph Tyler Horton and sisters Laura Mae Garrison and Edna Mick.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Pattonsburg Senior Center in Pattonsburg, MO.
