Wilma M. Segura, 70, passed away on May 2, 2014 at her home in Neodesha, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Bridges and Gladys (Fix) Bridges.
Wilma was the middle child of three daughters, all of them lively and ambitious, raised in Rockville, MO and graduated from Appleton City High School in 1961. As a young adult attending business school, Wilma enjoyed several modeling opportunities for local department store advertisements, and was later hired as an editor for a newspaper out of Kansas City, KS. Her zest for life afforded her many different career opportunities throughout Missouri and Kansas, but eventually led her back to Business-Administrative work where she held jobs at Sallie Mae, Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) and the University of Kansas.
She is survived by two sisters: Mina Olson (Walt) of Neodesha, KS and RuthAnn Wright of Shawnee, KS; four children: Ryan Kahn of Kansas City, MO; Jessica Zeff (Ian Blunt) of London, England; Julie (Segura) Bowers (Joseph) of Phoenix, AZ; and Shelley (Segura) Thomas (Ronald) of Okinawa, Japan; and 8 grandchildren: Lucas and Ava Kahn, Owen, Elliott, and Isaac Zeff, Sienna Segura-Brown and Brooklyn Bowers, and Cameron Thomas, and countless life-long friends and extended family.
